How to enable DirectPlay in Windows 10 in 4 easy steps!

DirectPlay is used by old games mainly, so without it being installed, the games won’t run. In Windows 10, DirectPlay is not installed by default because that it is deprecated. In this article, I will show you how to install it in 4 easy steps.

First, press the “Windows+X” key which will show a popup menu on top of your start button like so:

Then select “App and Features”. A new dialog will show up:

Again, press on the “Program and Features” link to get to the old / classic “Program and Features” dialog (from Windows 7 and older). Press the “Turn Windows features on or off”:

Now the “Windows Features” dialog will show up. Find the “Legacy Component” and expand it to see the “DirectPlay” option:

Check that box and click OK.
