Apple Watch

  • Series 4
    • Features a new processor called S4
    • New generation accelerometer and Gyroscope
    • 64-bit Dual-Core
    • Electrical heart sensor (powered by an electrode), with clearance from the FDA.
  • watchOS 5
  • Battery life
    • 18 hours
    • 6 hours with GPS usage
  • Pushed the edges and enlarged the screen (30% larger)
  • Every part of the UI has been redesigned
  • A brand new watch face with up to 8 complications
  • The breath app can be used as a watch face as well
  • Lots of new watch faces: Fire, Water, and Vapor face
  • The digital crown has been completely re-engineered. Gives you haptic feedback
  • The speaker has been re-designed. It is much louder now
  • The microphone has been moved to the other side (away from the speaker)
  • Radio waves can now go through the back and the front to let the watch have better cellular reception
  • Allows the Watch to detect a fall (injury detection use for instance)
    • Automatically calls the SOS number when it detects you fell
  • 3 new heart rate features:
    • Low Heart Rate detection and notification
    • Heart Rhythm detection to catch atrial fibrillation
    • Electrocardiogram (ECG). The first product to be offered directly to consumers. Just place your finger on the digital crown, it makes a closed circuit with the electrodes on the back of the watch.
      • Share the readings with your doctor
  • Four finishes available:
    • Silver, Gray, Space gray and golden finish
  • The bands will remain compatible with previous Apple Watch Series

    • S4: starts with 399$ and 499$ (with cellular)
    • Drop the price of Series 3 to 299$
